Poverty vs. War

The latest survey data indicate that 4 out 5 adults in the US now face near-poverty. Information Clearing House provides the unsettling statistics
One disturbing trend is an increase in the number of women selling their hair, eggs, and breast milk in an attempt to make ends meet.
The website Demos points out that the $175 billion required to lift everyone in the country out of poverty is just one quarter of the amount being spent on war.
